Monster Island, The Asylum’s 2019 mockbuster which was released ironically at the same moment as Godzilla King of the Monsters is about an Island called Monster Island. A monster may be found there; the monster is, in other words, the island.


Because it is a film about an asylum it has a budget equivalent to a large children's meal. This allows it (news source) to focus on a few characters and film all of its big stars' sequences in one location during lunch. The Asylum may not be a bad film though, as it is a kaiju movie.
